2007 Etienne Sauzet Les Combettes Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru
COMBETTES...
We have a blind tasting of the Combettes plot tonight, and I was impressed with Etienne Sauzet's effort here.
She used good quality oak for her premier cru, as I was able to tell it from the nose of strong but fragrant oak.
The palette immediately hit me with extremely rich fruits, powerful and bold, like a hunk. The length and finishing was really decent. As expected, 2007 whites do have higher acidity and this label was no difference.
