2007 Pichon Baron Pauillac
This has aromas of fresh fruit and vanilla ice cream on the nose, with exotic and vibrant raspberry fruit to the fore. Elegant entry, nicely balanced, with more of that sweet raspberry fruit wrapped up in fresh cream and vanilla ice cream. A lot of body and character here.
Pretty typical of a Pichon Baron, with lots of vanilla & oak on both nose & palette, but for a relatively poor vintage, it has exceeded my expectation. Quite harmonious, dense fruit & quite some bright red fruit as well.
