2008 Chateau Clinet Pomerol

I was hooked to Clinet 61, then mildly disappointed with 70, extremely disappointed with 82, and disagreed with Parker on 89's 100 points, saw the pedigree of 2000, and finally almost a blockbuster 2008. Roller coasters eh? Yup, not a predictable label. 08 was a big wine: nose of burned wood, graphites and dark fruits. One sip and definitive right bank Merlot styled wine. Very rounded, very red fruits driven. I hope standards for Clinet can be more predictable in the future. Good luck!
