2008 De Montille Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères
TALENTED WINEMAKER
de Montille is a very talented burgundy winemaker. I missed his Pommard Les Rugiens so much while he was still alive. This Meursault may not be the best from Montille, but it's a good expression of his style; hit me on the nose with strong lemonade and oily character. The mouth feels like I'm drinking a mixture of lemonade plus olive oil. Very complex, very rich and intense Chardonnay fruits, quite different from many other Meursaults I had, that's why I think they're talented.
