Altenbourg is one of the flagship product of Weinbach, which has a long tradition of producing good Gewurtztraminer. This wine has been increasingly popular over the years.
I get tons of lychee (a tropical fruit) upfront, later some faint oak and jasmine flowers kicks in. The juice is sweet, thick and lush, almost like eating durians! Predominantly tropical fruits; sweet pear, promegranate, pomelo, ripe mangoes and pineapple... The thickness of the juice is really a league by itself.
