2008 E. Guigal Saint Joseph Blanc
TROPICAL FRUITS STYLE
I was quite surprised by the style of this wine, not quite the same as Viognier style nor the waxy Hermitage style. This blend of Marsanne/Roussanne grape type from the northern most of Rhone is actually very tropical style.
Nose of ripe tropical fruits like pineapple and even mangoes, along with slight vanilla and oak. Unsurprisingly the palate was likewise very tropical fruits style, it's virtually like eating fruits, cool and cozy. Great daily drinking wine.
