2008 Henri Boillot Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles
INCONSISTENT
After the killer Boillot Pucelles 07 (refer to my older notes), one would think the subsequent vintages should be at least on par. Unfortunately it was a little bit not here nor there for the 08, I was only borderline impressed.
Nose of strong swimming pool chlorine although fruit nose was strong too. The extreme acidity in this wine somehow spoiled my palate, a tad too sharp as well, very fruity. I'd go for the 07 anytime, if you can get hold of it! (Extremely difficult to find them!)
