2009 Azienda Uggiano Petraia

This was an interesting bottle, I liked it best amongst all 4 Uggiano labels, although it was shy of being awarded 4.5 stars. 85% merlot and 15% Cabernet Savignon, thus they're trying to make the wine more approachable. 6000 bottles produced a year.Reasonably priced.
Both nose and body was very red cherry driven. Palette was extremely rounded (due to Merlot), sweet, very pleasant and easy to drink. I would buy some to keep, enjoyable.
