2009 Chateau Haut Beausejour Saint Estephe
SURPRISED SURPRISED
This was certainly not my daily drinking wines. I was impressed with the wine that it took me by surprise. After all this was only a Cru Bourgeois. I hardly drink lesser classified growth, not to mention Cru Bourgeois. I was fairly impressed with this label that it wasn't any inferior compared to any classified growths! Amazing richness, big and bold styles dominated the palette. Nose is a bit subdued; dark fruits, quiet and congested dark tea leaves leaving stains on my teeth :)
