2009 Dominio Basconcillos 12 Meses en Barrica Tempranillo

I visited the 2010 vintage last year and was mildly impressed by it, but today I have to reserve my opinion on this label, perhaps the vintage was playing a different role, but I suspect it wasn't made for aging.
I detected quite a bit of matured fruits. It used to be structured and creamy, but the 2009 wasn't showing that kind of character at all, I was detecting fruits that's approaching peak despite what the tannins are telling me. I concluded this was not a wine that could age forever.
