2009 Etienne Sauzet Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes
BIZARRE
I had drank multiple bottles and multiple vintages of Etienne Sauzet Combettes, normally I only enjoyed their Grand Crus but the 1er Cru was like a roller coaster ride, very bizarre result.
Of late I came across 2 bottles of this, one was totally disappointing, the other was extremely good! So I'd take the bottle with better notes! The nose was a Grand Cru nose with elegant and refined oak. Palate was extremely balanced with Grand Cru style, I thought it must be a Bienvenues Batard Montrachet!
