2009 Francois Carillon Les Referts Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru
CARILLON LEGEND
The last vintage for Louis Carillon was 2009, thereafter the vineyard was split into two by the two brothers; Jacques and Francois. I was told Jacques took the flagship Bienvenues Batard Montrachet and this Les Referts, but why is Francois had his name on this label?
Nose was full of summer flower fragrance. Palate was high in acidity, while the palate highly lacked fruits, totally unlike the past Referts produced by Louis. Maybe the fruits may take time to surface as I detected pomelo.
