2009 Francois et Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières
FIRST ENCOUNTER
Heard so much about Antione Jobard as a winemaker, but never had any of his wines before. This Genevrieres was my first encounter, and it was pitched against 11 other Meursault Genevrieres labels in a blind tasting.
Very typical white burgundy nose, slight butter and strong sugary notes. Content was certainly a rich and easy wine with melting character, with Meursault characters tagged along, being both fruity and skinny. Not much of an impression, just an average Joe wine.
