2009 Henri Boillot Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles
GREAT PUCELLES
This plot used to be dominated by Leflaive (and still is, just that other's standards are fast catching up). This was Domaine produced, rather than negociant produced, and Henri Boillot held it up like a prized trophy, and certainly he upkeep the standard!
I enjoyed the bouquet; very floral, with an element of forest freshness embedded. Content wise it was certainly a killer; great balance, rich, forward, not a 5 star for me due to slightly elevated sourness and acidity. Great effort!
