2009 La Massa Giorgio Primo
This wine was voted as one of the top wines during our Bordeaux vs Super Tuscan tasting. It held its own against some of the highly rated Bordeaux wines that night and really solidified the notion that there are some good Super Tuscan wines out there.
Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, vanilla oak, smoke, pepper and slight leather. Palate is big and bold with black fruits and powerful velvety tannins. I tried some again after a couple of hours and it still held up. Quite impressed w/ this wine
