YEAR 2067
No not a typo error, this wine should easily last another 50 years of age before it will downhill. The 2nd wine of Latour, which implies the Grand Vin will probably be suitable for my third generation and easily able to age for 80 100 years!
The massive fruity nose and the huge fruits were the pointers towards my bold statement, of course based upon my past drinking experience with Latour. In addition, the extremely long finishing was another pointer. So, it really meant to be for 2067!

BEST SECOND WINE
Les Forts de Latour is one of the best second wine that I will not hesitate to purchase any given vintage. I have tasted many old vintages, they're no doubt the best second label, almost the standard of an average second growth.
2009 was a great vintage, and this second wine rocked. Very ripe fruit nose, although a bit muted. Palate was intense, loads of vanilla, tannins and acidity, I'd stress massive tannins. Balanced wine, really appealing, no doubt it's going to be a 40 years wine!
