2009 Louis Carillon & Fils Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles

I hardly come across Chassagne Montrachet produced by Louis Carillon, so I was excited to try this bottle to find out the content.
Bouquet wasn't as refined as other LC wines produced in Puligny Montrachet, as the oak profile was not as refined, and I do smell lemon and rugged lemon peels.
The palate was RICH & BOLD! Totally took me by surprise. The fruits were expansive, broad and soft, albeit a bit short on the finishing. Nevertheless it paired extremely well with char grilled prawns. 4.25*.
