I didn't expect that there were more than 11 producers producing Combettes in Puligny Montrachet, not to mention we have a lineup of 11 bottles tonight, all from different producers! Speechless for my limited white burgundy knowledge.
Jacques Carillon can't match Francois Carillon's Combettes, as Jacques grapes were negociant pedigree, quality was really quite far off. Nose of slight butter, it tasted like real butter, melted really quick, and extremely creamy.
