CONSISTENT
Louis Carillon, a big name whit burgundy maker, made the undisputed best Bienvenues Batard Montrachet on Grand Cru level and Les Referts in Puligny Montrachet on 1er Cru level, with consistency. I had two notes on this plot and vintage, and both notes on different occasions were surprisingly consistent. Buttery nose, with very subdued oak. Palate was buttery too, exceptional balance and very forward in style, rich and fat, it was certainly a classic beauty.
