2010 Il Poggine Brunello Di Montalcino
POTENTIAL
I decanted this wine for 2 2.5hrs, and observed only stubborn persistence of the content (i.e. Absolutely no evolution), so I really have to use my wit to analyze the content.
From start to fit, nose was consistent with ripe red and black fruits. Palette was predominantly red fruits of cherry and prunes. I observed that the fruits are really masking behind the tannins and acidity, big question was, will the fruits one day overwhelmed the acidity and tannins? My instinct said yes, let's see.
