THE ULTIMATE
This was the only Brunello label that I have awarded five stars, and a really deserving one. This was a big wine no matter how you look at it, and being able to last many decades is unquestionable.
Finally a Brunello with smokey nose, extremely charred wood character, signifying a lot of oak was in play. But the fruits are just as jumbo, huge amount of red fruits made this wine a monster by Brunello standards. The beauty of the wine was actually the great purity of the fruits, very rare.
