2011 Bouchard Pere & Fils Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières
NOT CLOSE
Amongst the 3 labels of Genevrieres I tasted, Mikulsky, PYCM, and this Bouchard, this was on a totally different league, for the worst.
There's certainly some Meursault characters involved; buttery and slight orange nose. Palate was leaning towards Puligny Montrachet style, especially towards the end of tasting. It shrank and turned skinny and tasted tangerine initially, but became very rich and chunky in butter taste that I swear it was a Puligny Montrachet. Sorry for Bouchard.
