2011 Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay Cuttings Wharf Vineyard
RESTRAINED BEAUTY
I was puzzling on what to drink last night with my Boston Seafood and sommelier recommended me this Single Vineyard Chardonnay as I specify I do not want French wines, only American made ones :) Atypical of most U.S. Chards, this one doesn't have the overpowering oak or fruits (which is typical of US wines all about power only), very restrained, very versatile and accommodating to my seafood, so I'm pleased to have another exposure to new world white.
