2011 Chateau Figeac Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe
With its bright purple hue, it distinguishes itself by an expressive bouquet of complex aromas, including numerous fruits, of blackcurrant and blackberry in particular. The varietal aromas so dominated by the cabernet grape are mixed with aromas such as liquorice, which emanate from the barrel. Supple and silky on the palate, the tannins are fine grained and flavoury, and the finish is elegant, fruity and smooth.
Loads of vanilla & smoke on the nose. While the palette is light & style is typical 2011, boring.
