2011 Chateau Montrose Saint Estephe
Absolutely wonderful aromas of blackberries, anise seed, minerals and spices. Full bodied, with layers of well integrated, polished tannins and an intense spicy, fruity aftertaste.
Had a revisit of Bordeaux 2011 today. Quick summary: 1. It's a cab sav vintage, most left banks produced good wines. 2. Right bank can't really make it. 3. Quality is not across the board, pick your labels carefully. This wine has elegance & finesse of the left bank character, like wise man, other than that, nothing exciting.
