2011 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Premiers Cru Mont de Milieu
3RD BEST CHABLIS PRODUCER?
In Chablis there were only 2 great producers that I knew of Raveneau and Dauvissat. Many claimed William Fevre is a great producer too, unfortunately after today's tasting I beg to differ. Perhaps a distant 3rd best producer, and really nothing spectacular. I can't differentiate very much between a Grand and Premier Cru.
This one had very faint nose, and borderline detergent. Decent fruits, but dry and lean, turned lively and acidic when warmed up, and ultimately lemony.
