2011 Ducru Beaucaillou Saint Julien
Dark ruby, with a little cloudy, surprisingly drinkable and developed beautifully, wonderful nose of leathery, tobacco and cassis fruits.
Had a revisit of Bordeaux 2011 today. Quick summary: 1. It's a cab sav vintage, most left banks produced good wines. 2. Right bank can't really make it. 3. Quality is not across the board, pick your labels carefully. Mild coffee, acidic, smoky on the nose. Palette is a bit rough, lacks finesse when compared to other left bank labels, big wine, still tannic.
