Eleven Shades of Combettes 3/11
I didn't expect that there were more than 11 producers producing Combettes in Puligny Montrachet, not to mention we have a lineup of 11 bottles tonight, all from different producers! Speechless for my limited white burgundy knowledge.
After tasting 3 different Combettes, I almost concluded that Combettes is all about intensity of butter. The nose here was obvious burned butter. Palate was rich and lush, but it was still shades of butter, Jadot was moderate.
