2011 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia
I attended a vertical tasting of Sassicaia, it didn't really impressed me, only a slightly above average tasting. So I will share my notes here. 2011 was hardly impressive. Strong wood, fruity and alcoholic nose. Extremely sour, mildly acidic, lacks fruits and totally unbalanced structure. I was debating to give only 8 stars but I think maybe I was wrong with my evaluation as its a very young wine. I was totally shocked when I see WA95 scores! Simply NO WAY.
