2011 Verget Meursault Grand Elevage White
MELTING BUTTER
I just had a grand tasting of white burgundy 2011 vintage, and I was generally impressed by the quality of 2011, thus when I came across this Meursault Grand Elevage, I didn't hesitate to try it.
Nose of slight young oak and mild floral fragrance. Palate was exceeding my expectations; great fruits and not the usual skinny Meursault, almost like a Puligny Montrachet, with melting butter on the palate, felt a bit aristocratic and extremely rich butter caressing my tongue!
