2012 Aegerter Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
STRUGGLING GRAND CRU
It’s a struggle for many to realize that Corton Charlemagne was a Grand Cru, in fact many drinkers didn’t even bother to care. I don’t blame them, as it takes decades to understand Corton Charlemagne, not by just a glass. Like this one, started off with very strong rubbery weird nose, but slowly morphed into peat and cognac bouquet, showing Grand Cru evolution. Content was thick and with cooked lemon skin taste, but it again showed it’s Grand Cru character by tasting light and sharp.
