2012 Castelnau de Suduiraut Sauternes
GREAT SECOND LABEL
I was told by the winemaker that they don't produce the Grand Vin in 2012, thus all the grapes went into this second label, my take? Value for money!
Nose of youth, refined wood, light and slight honey. Palate was great, exceeded a second label standard with nice balance but definitely not overwhelming. Smooth, easy, creamy, slight lemony freshness.
95% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc, aged in oak for 15 16 months, great effort!
