2012 Chateau Carbonnieux Pessac Leognan
OVERPRICED
Was tasting some samples today, hopefully this second wine of Carbonnieux is in good shape.
Nose is decent, quite fruity, cooked stewed fruits, and slightly floral fragrance. A sip and I shook my head; dry, light and diluted despite the fact that it was easy drinking and smooth. Also quite woody and turned cough syrup about an hour later.
When I learned about the price of €22 after the tasting, I almost choked on my own saliva! Not worth even €7 to me. Sigh.
