2012 Chateau Giscours Margaux
BORDEAUX MARGAUX 2012 REPORT
Amongst the left bank, I will prefer the Margaux appellation over Saint Julien, Pauillac and Graves (didn't taste enough St Estephe). The stars are surprisingly:
1. Giscours
2. Lascombes
It seemed to have restored its past glory with this vintage with a much better style. Very ripe and forward nose, not very Margaux style. The palette is where it shines: extremely pleasant and easygoing, very forward, ripe and rich in style. Kudos to the great effort from an underwhelming vintage
