2012 Chateau Leoville Poyferre Saint Julien
POTENTIAL I attended a horizontal tasting of Bordeaux 2012, results are all very uneven and all over the place. Leoville Poyferre, an upcoming second growth, is showing a lot of potential for the future. I may rate it 4 stars now, but I have no doubt it'll be upgraded to 4.5 stars in the future. Why? I simply think all the fruits are hidden and well masked behind current characters of rich, smooth, lean, creamy and very coffee driven. Mark my word for it, let's check back in a decade's time.
