2012 Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron Les Tourelles de Longueville Pauillac
BARON THE GREAT Not the greatest of 2012, but one of the greats. Very decent quality which I find that Baron consistently outperformed since 2005. Slightly vegetal and raw on the nose, albeit very fruity and somewhat muted. It was a typical Baron character on the palette: signature vanilla from their oak, somehow was sharp, sour, lean, but good fruits wrapped up the finishing.
