2012 Hugel Classic Riesling

I saved the best for last. Amongst all the big name Alsace winemakers I have tasted today, I think Familie Hugel produced the best average Alsace wine, thus I'm impressed with Hugel.
Refined nose, mingled with honeysuckle, I'm like a bee busy nosing the flowers.
Palate of heavy lychee, despite the high acidity, the wine was really friendly and highly approachable. I don't have very high remarks for other young Riesling but Hugel won my heart today.
