2012 Joseph Faiveley Clos Rochette (Monopole)
Quite light in colour; fragrant nose of raspberries; medium to light weight. Little in the way of tannins, elegant, but not particularly complex.
This is an absolute surprise for me, as I managed to find an extremely value for money white from Faiveley! Furthermore, it's a monopole! Great aroma, typical Chardonnay, relatively oily nose, turns smokey after a while. Pretty rich, pretty intense on the fruit & body, moderately textured, will go extremely well with seafood. I did not hesitate to buy 1/2 case on the spot. Price should be around €22.
