Saint Julien for 2012 has produced very consistent wines across the appellation. However, it was also average appellation only. No stars were produced from Saint Julien in 2012.
Leoville Barton used to make very classic, backward wines. But I didn't find any classic style in 2012. Nose is very green. Loads of red berries and light style (atypical of Barton) wine on the palette disappoints me.
