2012 Pichon Lalande Pauillac
CONSISTENT LALANDE I had this Lalande 2012 on several occasions, and my notes is probably as consistent as Pichon Lalande :) Extremely coffee nose brewing in the glass, plus the red fruits also giveaway some clues. Very rounded on the palette, rich, and feels very Merlot, understandably Lalande had high percentage of Merlot in the composition of wine.

BORDEAUX PAUILLAC 2012 REPORT
Pauillac produces slightly above average wines, running ahead of Saint Julien and Graves, but slightly inferior compared to Margaux. I wouldn't load up too much on this appellation if you're looking to buy. The only wine that stood out, and was one of the two Wine of The Day for me Pichon Lalande.
Loads of coffee on the nose. Palette was superb, good intensity, great fruit, solid body, superb balance. Great effort from a mediocre vintage.
