2013 Michele Chiarlo Barolo Cerequio
THREE IN A ROW
My third glass of Michele Chiarlo’s Piedmont wine, supposedly this should be a slightly better grade as it’s a single vineyard varietals compared to the previous two I just reported, but seriously not much better.
Very faint oak on the nose. Palate was one dimensional sourness. The sourness got worse as I sipped along, like a domino effect, the sourness kept mounting on. Very tough on the palate, perhaps as a Barolo it needed more age in the bottle.
