2014 Fontaine Gagnard Morgeot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru
MY FIRST 2014
This was my first white burgundy 2014, heard a lot of good things about this vintage so I was desperate to try. First impression was relatively good, nose was muted, lemony. Body was relatively rich fruits, good structure, good acidity that's retreated to the background and not aggressive like an acidic vintage. Palate of lemon, sweet&sour.
Of course this premier cru was not representative of many other 2014 white burgs, but at least it provided me a glimpse of the well recognized vintage.
