2015 Artadi Alava El Carretil
SURPRISINGLY APPROACHABLE
Of most Tempranillo that I’ve tasted, mostly not quite ready to be consumed for being 2 years in the bottle, but this one definitely took me by surprise, plus it’s very enjoyable.
Palate was so light berries driven I would think this was some kind of second wine from Bordeaux, absolutely didn’t taste like it’s made of Tempranillo grapes. Nose wasn’t giving off any vanilla nor oak neither. Great wine pricing for simple food!
