2015 Verget Syrah Merlot
FORGETTABLE
Being another Vin de France, I had no expectations from this wine. But unlike the Viognier that I recently tasted and was so surprised with, this was forgettable. It is what you would expect from a table wine, simple and unbalanced.
I was given nose of red fruits, such as cherries and strawberries, but unfortunately the alcohol over empowered it. The palate was no different with alcohol dominating and hints of red fruits. This is the kind of wine you get on a cheap airline!
