Historically Beychevelle was really impressive as it could really age wines for decades. The oldest Beychevelle I had was in the 20s, and it didn't even show that it was that old!
Beychevelle 2016 may not last 7 decades but I think it's quite well made. Predominantly red fruits on the nose, fruity and chewy. Palate was showing great finesse rather than big fruits, possessing a greatly balanced wine, although I felt it was too light on fruits to last decades. Still a great effort!
