2016 Clos Haut Peyraguey 1er Sauternes
TROPICAL FRUITS
First time I drank this Sauternes label so I had no expectations. But after a whiff and a sip, no surprises.
Nose was predominantly tropical fruits, mainly pineapples.
Content was slightly different from pineapple, but still confined to tropical fruits. Not sure you westerners understand what's lychee and longan, these are typical tropical fruits for us living in the tropical country. I thought I had such characters from Alsace wines but was certainly surprised to find it in Sauternes.
