2016 MontGras Merlot
CHILEAN MERLOT
Not often I get to taste a Chilean wine, not particularly a 100% Merlot based wine. I do have a lot of reference for 100% Merlot; Masseto from Italy, Le Pin and La Violette from Bordeaux, and some forgettable Australian labels. Guess Chilean Merlot will need a lot more work to reach the top level, as this was as simple as a single dimensional black and white movie. No doubt it was fruity, sadly it doesn’t have any complexity to go a step further.
