2016 Pape Clement Pessac Leognan
A GREAT BORDEAUX 2016
With the limited labels I have tasted in this Bordeaux 2016, of which I have reported thus far, I do have a clear Wine of the Day choice, which was this Pape Clement.
Admittedly it wasn't the biggest, boldest fruity wine like La Gaffeliere, nor was it soft and elegant like Giscours, and definitely not as expressive as Nenin, but it stood out with it's great FINESSE, really fine and refined, along with great balance that simply blew all the Bordeaux 2016 lineup I've tasted so far.
