2016 Willy Gisselbrecht Oenotheque Riesling Alsace Grand Cru Muenchberg
This family owned vineyard since 17th century seemed to have mastered the skill of producing great Riesling. This Grand Cru was exceptional, I enjoyed it and highly recommend you to try it out.
Nose was not where it shined, mainly petrol and gas smell.
Content was very backward and traditional. The taste consisted of lemon peel bitterness, bitter pineapple at the back palate as well. Very dry which gave me an impression that it was low in acidity but it’s not. Extremely elegant.
