2017 Domaine Kientzler Gewurztraminer
Kientzler family has been growing vines for more than 5 generations in Alsace, thus to claim that they have mastered the art of winemaking is perhaps an understatement. This 5 year old Gewurztraminer reminded me of a very typical Alsace driven Gewurztraminer; Bouquet of definitive lychee and tropical fruits. Palate is a tad simple, with predominant taste of lychee, I could not identify any complexity nor different style, as I mentioned, this is a very straightforward and linear Gewurztraminer.
